Jeason Dewayne Miller was born the sixth child of Leola M. Smith of Leesville, Louisiana and son of Alvoid Jackson of Jonesville, Louisiana. He was baptized as an early age at New Willow Baptist Church here in Leesville. In his early youth, Jeason was an active member and participant in youth functions and activities at New Willow Baptist Church. As a little boy, he frequently attended Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and various revivals.
Jeason began his education here in the Vernon Parish School System spanning from West Elementary, Vernon Middle, and Leesville Junior High on to Leesville High School. While in school, Jeason was an athlete and did participate in some sports.
Obeying one of God’s Holy Ordinances, Jeason married the love of his life, LaTrica Jordon, his wife of seventeen blissful years together.
Jeason possessed a personality that captivated everyone who came in contact with him. His smile was so contagious; it brightened even the darkest mood or room. He had a great sense of humor that family and friends loved and appreciated. Jeason loved people, and people loved him. He also loved congregating at his “Mama’s house” for family gatherings, food, fun, and games. Moreover, he loved rapping, watching sports, and keeping up with the latest statistics. Most of all, he loved his best friend, partner, soul mate-his wife Tricie and his precious baby boy, Xiqewayne “AKA Twin” whom Jeason was anxiously awaiting to support on the next level of Xiqewayne’s athletic endeavors.
