Funeral services for Jeannette Stephens, 67, of Pitkin, LA, will be held at 2 P M, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Frank Ott officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 4 P M until 9 P M, Friday, September 8, 2017, and from 12 P M until time of the service, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Jeannette was born February 22, 1950, in Pitkin, LA, and passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017, in her residence. She was a graduate of Rosepine High School and was a florist by trade. She had lived all of her life in the Pitkin, LA, area. She was a wonderful wife and mother and a member of Lone Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard Filmore James and Retha Haymon James. She is survived by her husband, Joseph D. Stephens of Pitkin and daughter, Jennifer Miranda Mallett and husband Michael of Lake Charles, LA; brothers, Wallace James(Donnis) and C. W. James(Gail), both of Pitkin; three sisters, Mildred Midkiff(Kenneth) of DeRidder, LA, and Faye Shirley(Jimmy) and Jeanell Bailey(Larry), both of Pitkin.
