Javan Joseph "Jay" Bennett, 82, passed from this life on Monday, March 4, 2013, in Covington, LA.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013, 1:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA. Rev. Roy Lee Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Barrentine Cemetery, Longville, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Loftin Bennett, 3 daughters, Rose Michelle Bernard, Jeane Bennett Desomeaux and Sharon Bennett Simpson and son, Michael Patterson; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jay Bennett and Gladys Larson Bennett and a sister, Beth Gribble.
