Jaunita Dailey's Obituary
Funeral Service for Jaunita Dailey, 80, of DeRidder, LA will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September, 24, 2015, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder with Rev. Danny Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Mrs. Dailey passed from this life on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Lake Charles, LA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at 11 AM until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
She is survived by her son, Robbie Dailey and wife Denise of Deville, LA; 3 daughters, Kathy Lewis and husband Danny of Houston, TX, Barbara Dailey of Lake Charles, LA and Janet Wells and husband Rickey of Lebanon, OH; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reid Dailey; parents, Loree and Elton Sanders; brother, Vernon Sanders and sister, Pauline Sanders.
Jaunita was born in Lockwood, MO on March 17, 1935, to Elton and Loree Jones Sanders. She traveled the world following her husband in the U. S. Army. Jaunita settled in DeRidder in 1972. She was formerly employed as a secretary at Boise Cascade and worked in Food Service for K. R. Hanchey Elementary and DeRidder High School. She volunteered at God’s Food Box and the Council on Aging. Jaunita was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Her hobbies were collecting antiques and she also enjoyed painting, quilting and sewing.
