Jason Pierce Thompson's Obituary
Funeral services for Jason Pierce Thompson, 47, of Sugartown, LA, will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Living Hope Church with Pastor Kevin Coward officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Monday, October 23rd from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
Jason “JJ” was born on September 13, 1976 in Kinder, LA to his parents, Ralph and Nancy Thompson. He passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home in Sugartown, LA.
JJ thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, sports, traveling and time with “Sassy”. Jason was a 1995 graduate of EBHS. He was currently employed with Valiant as a role player. He was a member of Living Hope Church in DeRidder. He loved spending time with his church family and worshiping the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: John & Charlene Taylor; paternal grandparents: Tora & Worley Thompson; cousin: Charlie Brown Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life, his wife of 28 years: Cassie Thompson of Sugartown; three beautiful daughters: Kacie Thompson, Kimaron & husband Dylan Deason, Karlei & husband Konner Seal; five grandchildren: Averi & Jansen Deason, Brynlee & Emeri Seal, Conlee Thompson; parents; Ralph & Nancy Thompson; brothers: Ralph “Boog” Thompson & wife Bazoo, Cris Thompson, Kelly Moore & wife Tammy: sisters-in-law: Jessica & husband Daniel Griffin, Krystle Roberts, Misty & husband John Vaughn, Staci & husband Chase Reeves; father-in-law: John & wife Sally Stephens; mother-in-law: Evelyn & husband Dwayne Broussard; his four legged best friend: Pistol; a host of nieces and nephews that he adored.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Boog Thompson, Kelly Moore, Chad Cole, Dylan Deason, Konner Seal, John Vaughn, Chase Reeves and Jeff Smith. Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Todd Nelson, BJ Hicks, Delphord Baker and Colt Camp.
