Jason Stuart Shapkoff's Obituary
Funeral services for Jason Stuart Shapkoff, 52, of Leesville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the Saint Michaels the Archangel Catholic Church of Leesville with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 P.M– 8:00 P.M at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Jason was born on February 10, 1969 in Alexandria, Louisiana to his parents, Jim & Jody Shapkoff. He passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Lake Charles with his two children by his side.
He was a 1987 Graduate of Leesville High School and attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of the KA fraternity. He was the owner and operator of West Louisiana Ice Service of Leesville. Jason was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was a fan of baseball and loved playing and coaching his kids which he learned from his Pap and brother Jimbo. Some of his favorite hobbies were grilling and watching wrestling. He was a loyal friend and family member who loved picking on his loved ones. Jason’s most favorite things were spending time with his kids and taking care of his mother.
Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Victoria Shapkoff and Andy & Christine Anders, brother; Jimbo Shapkoff.
Left to cherish his memory is his children; Katelyn Shapkoff and Blake Wilber of Lake Charles, LA., Noah Shapkoff and Lexi Barton of Leesville, LA., parents; Jim & Jody Shapkoff of Leesville, LA., brother; Tony Shapkoff of Leesville, LA, sisters; Felicia Cavanaugh of Anacoco, LA., Jayda Pfaehler (Kris) of South Carolina, nieces; Cortney Gault (Cade), Jessica Cavanaugh, Kirstin Pfaehler, Bella Shapkoff.
