Janice Sweat, 70, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 in Dubuis Hospital of Lake Charles, LA.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11AM in Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Mittie, LA. With Rev. Ron Butler and Rev. Chad Longino officiating and burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
She was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church and resident of DeRidder, LA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Friendship Chapter #210 and Pine Hurst Chapter #33.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Sweat of DeRidder, LA; sons, Terry and wife, Laura Sweat of Pitkin, LA & Ricky and wife, Lynn Sweat of Sulphur, LA; daughter, Melinda and husband James Meser of Oakdale, LA; other “Family” members include Corinna and Walter Vincent of Dry Creek, LA; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, August 2, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Cherry Grove Baptist Church until service time Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11 A.M.
