Janette Marie Steele's Obituary
Janette Marie Steele, 71, entered peacefully into rest on Monday, January 25, 2021 at her daughter’s home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Janette was born to Donald Louis Garber and Marjorie Katherine (Fuller) Garber on April 26, 1949, in Ogden, Utah.
Visitation will begin Friday, January 29, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Temple Baptist Church, 122 Martin Luther King Drive, DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Robert Free officiating. Interment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Janette loved to crochet, write stories, tell jokes, play the keyboard, sing; spending time with family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. If you met Janette you loved her, even with her limited physical abilities she was always happy. She had a heart of gold, and donated every month to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jesse Eugene Steele and (Crystal Bailey) of DeRidder, LA, Tammy Marie Silvers and (Richard Silvers) of DeRidder, LA, Frank James Steele of DeRidder, LA; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, Willard Eugene Steele, mother Margie Katherine Morgan; brothers Jimmie Alvin Garber and Robert Paul Garber.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Jesse Eugene Steele, Frank James Steele, Christopher Howard Steele, Mike Young, Devin Ray Doyle, and Aubrey Emmitt Dubose, II.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Acadian Ambulance Services, the Staff at Beauregard Health System, and the Heart of Hospice – Southwest.
