Janet M. Thompson's Obituary
Funeral services for Janet M. Thompson, 51, of Leesville, will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Bro. George Lee Glass and Bro. Roy Hennessy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., and on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
Janet Milisia Thompson, 51 of Leesville, La. was born on June 30, 1969 in Deridder, La to Mitzie and Harvey Ashworth. Janet gained her angel wings surrounded by family on Saturday May 1, 2021 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La.
To know Janet was to love her, she was a ray of sunshine on any bad day for anyone she met. She was a loving Mother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and most importantly a friend. She was there for anyone no matter what time day or night; everyone knew she was only a phone call away. She loved to spend her time with her family, and friends, cooking and baking in the kitchen, canning whatever she found on Pinterest, and spending time with those grandbabies.
Janet is survived by her husband of 33 years Wilmer Lynn Thompson of Leesville; parents: Mitzie and Harvey Ashworth of Cravens; two Sons, Wilmer Robert Thompson II (Bobby) and wife Lyndsee of Leesville, Laramie Josiah Thompson and wife Hannah of Leesville; two brothers; Harvey (Tubby) Ashworth and wife Sherry of Cravens, Lelon (LeeLee) Ashworth and wife Amber of Cravens; one sister; Frenda Ashworth of Cravens; five grandchildren; Kenli, Kennedy, Braylee, Brian, Trace and Also, A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and Friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Herman and Eloise Ashworth, Lelon and Annie Johnson; mother in law Doris Thompson; brother in law Robert Thompson, sister in law; Sharon Hext, and two grandbabies in Heaven.
