Janet Kay Bennett's Obituary
Funeral services for Janet Kay Bennett, 62, of Shreveport, Louisiana will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Simpson Baptist Church in Simpson, with Rev. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Simpson, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the funeral home and on Thursday, February 16th from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Janet, the daughter of A. C. and Virginia Ruth Williams Bennett was born on February 7, 1950, in Pensacola, FL. She passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. Ms. Bennett loved ceramics, animals and music.
She is survived by her son, Joey Vasquez of Shreveport; daughter, Ann Marie Vasquez of Shreveport; parents, A.C. & Virginia Bennett of Simpson; brothers, Larry Bennett of Groves, TX, John Bennett of Elmer, TX, Shawn Wesley Bennett of Simpson & Shannon Wayne Bennett of DeRidder; sister, Deborah Bennett of Austin, TX and two grandchildren.
