James David Wheeler, Jr.'s Obituary
Memorial services for James David Wheeler, Jr., 48, of Lake Charles will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Scottie Gray officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, pop, and friend! He was a surgical nurse of 23 years. David loved to be on a football or baseball field! He enjoyed coaching his boys and watching his baby girl dance on stage. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and being surrounded by his family and Sunday afternoon cookouts and tickle fights with his granddaughters. David left this world on December 3, 2021 for all his memories to be cherished by his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Kera Wheeler of 26 years; daughter and son in law Caitlyn and Austin Greene; son and fiancé Caden Wheeler and Alyssa Driskill; sons Cayle and Caige Wheeler all of Lake Charles La.Brother and sister in law Justin and Leigh Wheeler of Wylie Texas, mother and father James and Anice Wheeler of Monroe La, brother in law and sister in law Josh and Crystal Womack, father in law and mother in law Ricky and Leta Womack all of Deberry Tx, Granddaughters Emberleigh and Cambree Greene and Natalee Wheeler. and a host of nieces and nephews including Caroline, Luke, and Samuel Wheeler, Kamarah Evans, Amaya Benefield, Natalia Womack and Julz Womack He proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert and Jeannie Wheeler of Mobile, Alabama and maternal grandparents Clifford and Gene Hayes of Mobile, Alabama In lieu of flowers the family would like for donations to be made to The Celebrate Recovery program at www.wfrchurch.org
