James Kenneth Walker's Obituary
Funeral services for James Kenneth Walker, 89, of Anacoco will be held Saturday, January 16th at 2 pm in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Wade Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at the Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kenneth the son of James Henry and Stella Cryer Walker was born on April 18, 1926, in St. Petersburg, FL. He passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clyde, Bill and Cecil and half-brothers, AQ, Red, Douglas, Mike and Woodrow; half-sister, Myrtie Bell and grandson James Lesley Stephens.
Mr. Walker served in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran. He retired in 1977 at Fort Polk, Civil Service from the Upholstery Shop.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Dean Walker of Anacoco; son, James C. Walker of Leesville; daughters, Geraldine “Gerry” husband, Jimmy Hodges of Many, Sharon Gail husband Jimmy Adams of Alto, TX and Wanda Sue husband, Mike Jones of Evans; sisters, Joan Horton of Anacoco; Marcelle Perry of Anacoco and Marguriette Chelf of Anacoco; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
