James Oliver Sumrall's Obituary
Funeral services for James Sumrall, 62, of Pitkin, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the Jesus Christ Worship Center of Cravens with Rev. Greg Hillman officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery in Pitkin.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 12:00 P.M until time of service at the church.
James, the son of Oliver and Yvonne “Betty” Sumrall was born on August 21, 1960 in Bell County, Texas. He passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at his residence in Pitkin, Louisiana.
Mr. Sumrall was a retired welder. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Oliver and Betty Sumrall, and his sister; Elaine Deason.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rhonda Sumrall; Son, Jessie Marler; brother, Robert Sumrall and wife Lisa of Leesville; sister, Linda Scott and husband Tom, of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Mike Sumrall of Pitkin; brother in law, Mike Deason of Pitkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
