James "Buck" Roberts' Obituary
Funeral services for James “Buck” Roberts of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014, at First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville, Louisiana, with Rev. Mark Christian officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, September 7, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Roberts, the son of Johnny R. Roberts and Vera Elizabeth Lambert Roberts, was born March 10, 1930, in Leesville. He passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Mr. Roberts was a member of the United States Army from 1948 until 1956 and served in the Korean War. He retired after many years with the State Forestry Commission where he was awarded Towerman of the State.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Roberts of Leesville; one son, James Roberts and wife Helen of Leesville; his daughter, Renita O’Hara and husband Scotty of Pickering, Louisiana; one brother, A.C. Roberts of Alabama,; one sister, Betty Leonard of North Carolina.
