James “Jim” Robert Hamilton, 82, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Rosepine, Louisiana. Jim, the son of Charles James and Estelle (Sanders) Hamilton was born on December 2, 1937, in Decatur, Alabama.
Jim loved camping with his wife, spending time in the outdoors. His hobby of nature photography brought him much joy. His favorite trip was to his wife’s homeland to Scotland. He missed his chow, Honey bear. His family; friends; his cat, Lovey, and his daughter’s “little guys” (fur babies) will truly miss him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Hilda Hamilton of DeRidder, LA; son, Karl Hyson of New Port Richey, FL; daughter, Kathleen McGee and husband Jay of DeRidder, LA; brother Charles Hamilton of Greensboro, NC; and two grandchildren, Anthony James Hyson of Regensburg, Germany and Tanja Hyson Christmann of Germany.
Preceded in death by his father, Charles James Hamilton; mother, Estelle Sander Shelton; and Grannie, Lucille South.
Cremation has been entrusted to Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
