James Elwood Jones' Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. James E. Jones, 81, of Leesville, will be held at 10:00a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. Jones was born on June 23, 1936 in Washington D.C. and he passed away on December 13, 2017 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He retired after spending 26 years in the United States Coast Guard. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved to hunt and fish and plant gardens. One of his favorite things to do was to sit in his backyard and watch the deer on his property.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his Daughter Wanda Langley, and his brother Willie R. Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Jean Jones of Leesville; One Daughter: Lori Ann Ingram and husband Mark of Missouri; Four Brothers: Guy Allen Jones, John F. Jones, Gary E. Jones, Kenneth T. Jones all of North Carolina; Two Sisters: Judith Boyett and Julianne James of North Carolina; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
