James R. "Jim" Wiley's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. James R. “Jim” Wiley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with the Rev. W.T. Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cryer Cemetery in Leesville.
Mr. Wiley served in the First Battalion 13th Infantry during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He worked for a number of years as the Shop Foreman at Fontenot Chevrolet in Leesville, and as Service Manager at the Chevrolet Dealership in DeRidder, La. He also worked along side his wife at the Alexander’s Auto Salvage in Leesville.
He is survived by: Wife – Doris Cryer Wiley; Two Daughters – Melinthia Wiley and Felicia Pagan; Two Brothers – Billy Wiley, and Jerry Wiley; Six Grandchildren – Devon Vargis, Tyler Vargis, Amber Vargis, Waynelle Wisby, David Wisby, Jason Wisby; Three Great Grandchildren – Anita Grace Wisby, Kyle Reeves, and Kaleb Wisby; and numerous nieces and nephews;
Mr. Wiley was preceded in death by: Son – Kenneth Wiley; Siblings – Willard Wiley, Charles Wiley, Barbara Berry Toney, Harold Hogan;
Visitation will be held from 9a.m. until service time Sunday in the Funeral Home
