James Dustin Hall's Obituary
Funeral services for James Dustin Hall will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 21, 2023 in the Antioch Baptist Church of Slagle with Bro. Frank Ott Jr., Bro. Larry Vaughn and Bro. George Swain officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Slagle.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5:00 P.M– 9:00 P.M at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, then from 10:00 P.M until the time of service at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church in Slagle.
James Dustin Hall, 40, of Merryville, LA, passed away on April 14, 2023. Dustin was born on August 21, 1982, in DeRidder, LA, and was the only child of James Alton Hall, Jr. and Dorothea Croy Hall.
Dustin graduated from Leesville High School in 2001, attended college and played college baseball at Northlake Community College in Irving, TX for a short time, then began working with his Dad in logging. Dustin and Al started their own logging and trucking businesses May 13, 2005 and continued to work together, not just as father and son, but as business partners.
Dustin married his wife of 16 years, Stacy Reeder Hall on May 19, 2007. Their first child, Ashlyn Joy, was born on January 2, 2007 in Leesville. Eight years later they welcomed Ryland James on January 23, 2015, in Lake Charles.
Dustin was a hard worker, loved his family fiercely, loved coaching and watching his two children play sports, and spent lots of his free time with friends riding in various ATV parks. Dustin was a friend to everyone and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or a laugh.
Dustin is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Alton Hall, Sr. and Eva Katherine Ferguson.
Dustin is survived by his parents, Al and Dorothea, his wife Stacy, and his two children, Ashlyn and Ryland along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins
