Funeral services for James Edward Dowden, 77, of Leesville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Sandy Guynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M in the funeral home.
James was born on February 25, 1942 in Leesville, LA.
He passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Alexandria.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Mary Legg Dowden, brother; Robert Dowden.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years Helen Grimes Dowden, children; William (Bo) Dowden and his wife Dianalynn of Navarre, FL., Sherry Laughlin of Leesville, LA., Bethwyn Dowden of Leesville, LA., Jamie Dowden of Leesville, LA., 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
