James L Cole's Obituary
Funeral services for US Air Force (RET) SSGT James L. Cole, 78, of Leesville will be held Wednesday, January 20th at 2 pm in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will be at the Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 6:00 p.m. until 9 p.m. and then Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
James was born June 3, 1937, the son of William and Euna Bridges Cole. He passed away Friday, January 15, 2015 in Leesville.
He retired from the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. James was a down to earth man, who lived life his own way, he enjoyed watching a good Western and loved a good cigar. He lived in Washington State and had been all over the world but Vernon Parish Louisiana was always in his heart and always calling him home
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael E. Cole, step-daughter, Joni Galyean, brother Charles Cole and sister Marjorie Pollard.
James is survived by his daughter, Lori Anne Cole-Webb of Tumwater, WA; son, James A. (wife, LaWanda) Cole of Nine Mile Falls, WA; daughter in law, Colleen Cole of Springfield, OR; step-children, Cindy McCauley and Tammy Kirk; sisters, Ada (husband, Wayne) Haymon of Leesville and Ruth Dixon of Monroe, LA; 6 Grandchildren, Shannon Webb of Bellingham WA, Natalie Covher of Natchitoches, LA, Alexander Webb of Tumwater WA, Michael Webb of Tumwater WA, Michael J Cole of Springfield Or and Zechariah Cole of Springfield OR; 1 Great Grandson, Aiden James Webb-Kitzmiller of Bellingham WA
