James W. Bryant's Obituary
Funeral services for James W. Bryant, 67, of New Llano will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Labby Memorial Funeral Home with Revs Sammy Morrow and Tommy Kiker and Lynn Cooley officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 25, from 5:00 til 9:00 and on Sunday from 9a.m. until service time Sunday in the Funeral Home.
James was born on May 3, 1952 in Monroe, LA to William T. & Gladys Beatrice Waggoner Bryant. He passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his home in New Llano surrounded by his family.
He was a lifelong member of East Leesville Baptist Church. He was a 1970 graduate of Leesville High School and was a member of the LHS Alumni Association. James loved playing golf on Wednesday night golf scrambles at Fort Polk and spending time with his grandsons family and friends. He used to love hunting coke bottles with the KVVP Coca Cola summer fun bottle search. If his family wasn’t ready when the clues were read you got left. He was a big fan of LSU Football and the Golden Band from Tigerland.
He is preceded in death by his parents: William T. & Gladys Beatrice Waggoner Bryant; Two Brothers: Lester Bryant, and W.T. Bryant; Four Sisters: Josephine Yeager, Pauline Melberg, Rose Marie Bryant, Carla Sue Bryant; and his special baby Whoopi Dog.

Bryant, Jr. “JJ” of Walker, LA; His Daughter: Jennifer Durrett (Neil) of Hornbeck, LA; Special Son: Jacob Morrison (Rachel) of Yates Center, KS; Two Brothers: Palmer Johnson “P.J.” of Eros, LA, and Leslie Bryant (Judy) of Orange, TX; Two Sisters: Mary Bryant of New Llano, LA, and Marie Dalton (Mike “Hillbilly”) of New Llano, LA; One Sister-in-law: Wanda Bryant of Leesville, LA; Four Grandsons: Casey James Bryant, Aiden James Bryant, John Camden, and Nathan Lee Durrett.
