Funeral services for James D. Ashfield Jr., 43, of Lake Charles will be Thursday, January 15th at 2:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. The burial will follow in the An Read Obituary
I remember James as being so outgoing and constantly being so mischevious. We graduated together and he always said that he was going to travel and he did in the military. I was proud to have known your son and had recently discovered where he worked and hoped to visit him one day.\r\n\r\nI pray the Lord to help you through this time.

As I think back on our younger years when we met in high school and all the crazy things we did together from camping, dirt bike riding to joining the Air Force. It really makes me truly realize how important it is to stay close to your friends and never lose the communication that can keep us bonded together even when we are miles apart.
