James “Jimmy” Arville
Funeral services for James “Jimmy” Arville, 70, of the Bundick Lake area, Louisiana, will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, February 5, 2010, in DeRidder Seventh-Day Adventist Church in DeRidder with Pastor Jerry Fletcher and Rev. Curt Iles officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery, Dry Creek, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2010, and from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M., Thursday, February 4, 2010, both in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will continue from 12 P.M. until time of the service, Friday, February 5, 2010, in DeRidder Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
“Jimmy” passed away Monday, February 1, 2010, in Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA. He was born in Lake Charles and attended Marion High School and was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a heavy equipment operator and a lifetime member of 406 Operator’s Union. He was a member of the DeRidder Seventh-Day Adventist Church. A former resident of Ragley, LA, he moved to the Bundick Lake, LA, area in 1994. He enjoyed fishing and was a devout New Orleans Saints fan.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Arville of Bundick Lake, LA; son, Darren Arville and wife Lenora of Ragley, LA; two daughters, Tina Bourgious of Ft. Myers, FL, and Mickie Thomas and husband Art of Port St. Lucie, FL; one brother, Charles Arville of Lebleu Settlement, LA; four grandchildren, Jason, Derrick, Darrell and Hannah, and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Agnes Lebleu Arville, son, Thomas “Tommy” Arville, and sisters, Lois Files and Lorraine Bailey.
