Jacqueline Elaine Phillips' Obituary
Jacqueline Elaine Phillips, 60, formerly of DeRidder, LA, entered peacefully into rest to be with her Savior on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Jacqueline was born on March 25, 1961 to Larry and Catherine Pratt Pickett in Manhattan, KS.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service which will begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Zale Lewis, Pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church of DeRidder, officiating. Interment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery, DeRidder, LA. Funeral services have been entrusted to Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Jacqueline was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. But most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She will be remembered and missed by all who loved her.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mearl “Pete” Phillips; her parents, Larry and Catherine Pickett; her son-n-law, Vincent Whittington.
Left to cherish Jacqueline’s memory is her son, Nicholas Phillips and wife Sarah of Pine Prairie, LA; two daugthers, Andrea Whittington of Manhattan, KS, and Shyanne Bailey of DeRidder, LA; two brothers, Joe Pickett and wife A.J., and Ronald Pickett and wife Mischa both of Kansas; three sisters, Cindy Springer and husband Tim, Patricia Henkins and husband Joseph, and Christine Platt all from Kansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jasper Phillips, Burt Phillips, Trevin Phillips, Jaron Phillips, Cary Phillips, and Allen Phillips.
Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Chris Moses, and Nicholas Phillips.
