Funeral service for Irma D. Scott, 94, of DeRidder, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Community Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, 9:00AM until the service at the church.
Irma Dela Scott of DeRidder, LA departed this life on February 17, 2014, at the age of 94. She was born on February 8, 1920 in Westlake, LA to Joseph & Lovie Tillman. She was a faithful member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Westlake, LA and Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Irma married Earl Broussard, Sr. in 1951 until he departed this life in 1979. From this marriage she leaves to mourn 2 sons, Earl Broussard, Jr. of DeRidder, LA and Noble Broussard, Sr. and wife Mary Louise of El Paso, TX; 3 daughters, Bobbie Jackson and husband Issac of Lake Charles, Emma Rose Lamotthe of Dallas, TX and Bernadine Davy of Texas City, TX. From this marriage there are 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
In 1982, she was united with Robert Scott of DeRidder, LA until he departed this life in 2006, and from this marriage she leaves to mourn 4 children, Janice Hadnott of Richmond, VA, Camille Freeman and husband James of CA, Marceliers Scott and wife Faith of DeRidder, LA and Martin Scott and wife Roberta of DeRidder, LA; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
