Ingrid Green's Obituary
Memorial services for Ingrid Edith Green, 81, of Leesville, will be held at Cooper Baptist Church on Thursday, June 17th, 2021, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Cooper Church Cemetery beside her husband of 63 years.
Mrs. Green was born February 8th, 1940, in Berlin, Germany. She resided in Berlin with her mother, Edith and stepfather, Hermann, until she met and married Kenneth G. Green in 1958. She then immigrated to the Unites States and later became a U.S. citizen. She passed away on June 14th, 2021, at her home in Leesville, Louisiana with family at her side.
Mrs. Green was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Christian. She was an active member of Cooper Baptist Church, which she joined after moving to Leesville, Louisiana in 2010. Her interests included gardening and reading, but above all, she devoted her life to her husband and family. She committed her life to raising and supporting her family and working by her husband’s side. She was a member of the local Senior Citizen’s Circle and loved exploring new places and traveling. She was a quiet lady, a wonderful listener and confidant, and a gentle soul loved by all who met her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jimmy R. Green, and wife Trish, Kathyleena D. Cater and husband Chuck, Timmy D. Green and wife Alicia, and Terry G. Green and wife Sharon, her grandchildren, Angela Mitchell, Kristine West and husband Tim, Justin Green and wife Lindsey, Alexis Green, Nicole Gonzalez, Sheena Green, and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband and best friend, Kenneth G. Green.
She will be missed by many family members and friends.
