Funeral services for Ima Jean Donaldson, 71, of DeRidder, LA, and formerly of Leesville, LA, will be held at 11 A M, Friday, October 21, 2016, at Labby memorial Funeral home Chapel, DeRidder, LA, with Rev. George Lee Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Prong Cemetery, Dry Prong, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 5 PM until 8 P M and from 9 A M until time of the service, Friday, October 21, 2016, all at the funeral home in DeRidder, LA.
Ima Jean was born October 9, 1945, to Cody Goins and Otte Ashworth in Leesville, LA. She passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in Rapids Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She lived all of her life in Leesville and DeRidder, LA. She was a member of Grace Church in DeRidder and enjoyed embroidery, sewing and doing all kinds of crafts. She would always enter some of her craft work in the Beauregard Parish Fair.,
She is survived by her mother, Otte Brister; two brothers, Michael Brister and wife Lisa, and Mike Brister and wife Dee, both of Rosepine, LA; four sisters, Brenda Rauda of Warrenton, VA, Patricia Mellen and husband Jim of Toledo Bend, LA, Agatha Brown and husband Dale of Marshal, AR and Shirley Thibodeaux of Pasadena, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, step-father, Elmer Brister, and husband, Stafford Donaldson.
