Huey P. Gilcrease's Obituary
Funeral services for Huey P. Gilcrease, 88, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Revs. M.C. Green, Mark Christian, Dale Mortensen, Alvin Glaze and John Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Monday, September 24th, and on Tuesday, September 25th, from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
Huey, the son of William Theodore and Daisey Mae Harvel Gilcrease was born January 7, 1924, in Alexandria, LA. He passed away Friday, September 21st, in Leesville, LA.
Mr. Gilcrease served in the United States Army having served in World War II. He was the superintendent of Electric Shop at Fort Polk; after retirement he was an Electrical Inspector for the cities of Leesville and New Llano. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Owens Gilcrease.
Mr. Gilcrease is survived by his sons, William Gilcrease & wife Debbie and Danny Gilcrease all of Leesville; daughter, Janell Martinez & husband, Donald of Grand Prairie, TX; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
