Funeral services for Hubert Gardiner, Jr. “Dog”, 59, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Ellen Burr Baptist Church in Leesville with the Rev. Derrick Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Leesville, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm - 8 pm, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the funeral home and on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 10:30 am until time of service at the church.
Hubert, the son of Hubert and Savannah Bouxie Gardiner was born on June 16, 1951, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the University Medical Center in Lafayette, LA, after a long illness, he fought a good fight.
He is survived by his children, Nellie of Wichita Falls, TX; Rick of Port Barrie, LA & Little Savannah of Dallas, TX; mother, Savannah Gardiner of Leesville, LA; brothers, William & Maurice Gardiner, both of Leesville, LA; sister, Elizabeth Gardiner Washington of Dallas, TX and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins & friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Gardiner, Sr., and sister, Sally Gardiner Green.
