Howard P. Dean's Obituary
Howard P. Dean, 91, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, in his residence in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, May 26, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with Rev. Dale Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Mr. Dean was born in Sarepta, Louisiana, and lived most of his life in DeRidder. He was a retired Senior Operator with Mobile Oil for thirty-five years. He was a highly decorated veteran of the U. S. Army serving during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Dean was a Mason and a member of the Blue Lodge for over fifty years. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Mr. Dean is survived by two sons, Glenn M. Dean and wife Glenda of DeRidder, LA, and Howard L. Dean and wife Barbara of Port Barre, LA; one daughter, Linda “Mollie” Bayer of DeRidder; one sister, Doris Dean Gosden, of Sarepta, LA; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2010, and from 9 A.M. until time of the service, Wednesday, May 25, 2010, all in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
