Hermon Lemore Muse's Obituary
Hermon Lemore Muse, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at his home in DeRidder. Hermon was born on Saturday, September 17, 1938, in Newellton, Louisiana to Arthur Preston and Claudia White Muse.
A memorial service will be Monday, September 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM, at the Labby Memorial Chapel in Leesville, Louisiana. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Homes.
Hermon served in the United States Navy. Over the years he did many different jobs. From driving cross country as a truck driver, to serving as a foreman for the Police Jury and working out at Fort Polk as a Role-Player. During his down time, he loved to work on different things as he was a jack-of-all-trades. He loved to garden from an early age and continued it until his health wouldn’t allow him. If he wasn’t gardening, he would be out fishing. But most of all, he loved his family dearly, especially his kids and grandkids. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Hermon “Tuffy” Muse of Nampa, Idaho, Bobby Houston Muse and wife Shelly of Leesville, Martin Muse of Illinois, Brandon Muse of Anacoco, Angela Castie and husband Jonathon of Anacoco, Paul Luna, Basil Luna, Jesse Luna, and Genette Luna all of Nampa, Idaho; brother, Joe Muse and wife Jimmy Ruth of Savage Forks Community; sisters, Sybil Nash and husband Kenneth of DeRidder, and Pat Tuck of Savage Forks Community; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Claudia Muse; brother Bobby Muse; sisters, Barbara Muse, and Hazel Cryer; granddaughter, Pheebee Muse.
