Funeral services for Herman Wayne Holt, Jr., 53, of DeRidder, Louisiana, will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with Rev. Greg Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Wayne passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M., Tuesday, July 6, 2010, and from 9 A.M. until time of the service Wednesday, July 7, 2010, all in the funeral home.
Born in Flomaton, Alabama, he moved to DeRidder in 1969 and was a 1975 graduate of DeRidder High School. He was employed as a maintenance mechanic at MeadWestvaco in DeRidder and had previously been employed with B E & K Construction.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Holt of DeRidder; brother, Mike Holt and wife Heather of DeRidder;sister, Laura Holt of Shreveport, LA; and parents, Herman and Marcy Holt of Zwolle, LA.
