Henry R. "Russ" Ward's Obituary
Funeral services for Henry R.”Russ” Ward, 68, of New Llano, Louisiana will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Father Anthony Catella officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Hicks, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm - 9 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the funeral home.
Henry, the son of John W. and Martha Henly Ward, was born on January 20, 1943, in Washington, DC. He passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at his residence in New Llano, LA. Mr. Ward loved to draw and could do wonders with a pencil. He loved to dance, help people and work with children.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ward of New Llano, LA; daughter, Angela Brooks of Demin Springs, LA; brothers, Buck Ward & Richard Ward both of Richmond, VA; sister, Judy Ward of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Randy & Katie Brooks and one great grandchild, Mason Lee Howell.
