Henry P. Heard's Obituary
Funeral services for Henry P. Heard, 94, of Leesville, LA, will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville, LA, with Rev. Jerry Penfield officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville, LA. Henry passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the Rosepine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will begin Friday, September 7, 2011, at 5 PM until 9 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville, LA.
Henry was born June 9, 1917, in Elton, LA, to Fredrick M. Heard and Bertha Mae Hall Heard. He proudly served in the United States Airforce. He loved to play golf, tennis and was a big sports enthusiast. He had reserved seats on the 50 yard line for Leesville High School football for over 50 years. He loved to listen to the LSU football games on Saturday nights. Henry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leesville, LA.
Survivors include his only daughter, Patti Heard Richardson and husband Todd of DeRidder, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ada Lea Craft Heard of Leesville, LA.
