Hazel Marie LeJuhn Loftin's Obituary
Funeral services for Hazel Marie LeJuhn Loftin, 66, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, with Dr. Wayne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Old Cypress Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, January 10, 2014, at the funeral home. Hazel passed away into the presence of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, in Dubuis Hospital of Lake Charles.
Hazel loved being married to her loving, devoted husband, Robert Earl Loftin for 45 years. She was a 1965 graduate of Vinton High School. She retired in 1989 as bookkeeper from Abe’s Grocery Store. She loved spending her time at home with her beloved family and friends. She also enjoyed painting and working with crafts. Hazel was actively involved in the XI Beta Mu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, DeRidder Chapter, where she served as treasurer. In past years she served on the DeRidder Doll Festival board. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of DeRidder.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Robert Earl Loftin of DeRidder; daughter, Gayla Loftin-Trahan of Grand Lake, LA; step-daughters Caren Loftin and Robin Roy and husband Tom, all of Charlotte, NC; step son David Loftin of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Amber Trahan and fiancée James Richard, Cody Trahan, Alexandria Gomes and husband Matthew, Ryan Hall, Jason Hyatt and Blake Hyatt; great grandchildren Aria Richard and Ayia Hyatt; brother, Dudley Joseph LeJuhn, Jr. and wife Gwen of Vinton; sisters, Marie Baus of Dublin, CA, and Linda Elliott of Pottstown, PA. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Amber Louise Loftin, and son-in-law James Bradley Trahan.
