Hazel Beatrice Harvey's Obituary
Hazel Beatrice Harvey of Alma, Arkansas was born August 31, 1923 in Many, Louisiana; to the late Emmitt & Helen Farrar Brumley. She left this world peacefully to be with Jesus, on October 2, 2022 at Alma Health & Rehabilitation Center in Alma. She lived to a very good old age of 99 years, 1 month and 2 days and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Hazel worked for and retired from Civil Service at Fort Hood, Texas. After her retirement she worked as a volunteer at several organizations, but the largest portion of that time was for the City of Copperas Cove, Texas, where her daughter, Phyl worked.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.T. Harvey, her parents, Emmitt & Helen Brumley, stepmother Edna Brumley, mother and father-in-law Alfred & Ellen Harvey, daughter Lanelle (Snookie) Nogar, grandson Jerry Nogar, granddaughter Mandy Nogar, great-great grandson Kylar Hershberger, two sisters, three brothers, and 4 son-in-laws.
She is survived by two daughters, Janelle (Boopie) Hershberger Brooks of Many, Louisiana, Phyllis (Phyl) Jacobs of Sun City West, Arizona, two sons James E. (Bo) Harvey & wife Deborah of Alma, Arkansas, Stanley A. (Stan) Harvey & wife Lisa of Copperas Cove, Texas, two brothers, one sister, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Ocker Chapel of Alma, 917 Hwy 64 E., Alma, AR and 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM October 10, 2022 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville Louisiana.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Beech Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Anacoco, La, with Rev. Bo Harvey officiating. Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery.
