Glendon Doyle Hillman's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glendon Doyle Hillman, who departed this world on November 1, 2025, at the age of 83. Glendon was born on May 28, 1942, in Huton, Louisiana, to the late Austin and Lillie Bolton Hillman.
Glendon was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Austin and Lillie Hillman, and his siblings: brothers Troy Hillman, Jame Howard Hillman, and Travis Hillman, as well as his sister Wanda Sue Hillman Ray.
He is survived by his loving wife since 1981, Alana Hillman. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale Hillman and his wife Sandy, and Thermon Hillman and his wife Patricia, all of Leesville.
Glendon was a devoted gardener, he found peace and joy in tending to his plants and would greet each morning by checking on the growth of his tomatoes. He loved Jesus and loved to attend Old Anacoco Baptist Church.
His favorite dog was Cocomo, who was never far from his side. When Mr. Hillman left the house, Cocomo would go to Mr. Dale’s house. Cocomo got a lot of whippings from Mrs. Lillie Hillman for digging holes in the yard.
Funeral services will be held on November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the V.A. or to Old Anacoco Baptist Church.
