Glenda Mae Jackson Burns' Obituary
Glenda Burns was reunited with her Lord and Savior and her beloved Charlie on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the age of 76.
She was born on January 18, 1949 to Buck and Bertha Morrison Jackson in Leesville, Louisiana, completing their family of six children.
She graduated from Anacoco, LA in 1967. She married the love of her life Charlie Burns a month prior to graduation and faithfully supported him during his time in the service. God blessed them with two beautiful boys Stevie and Jason who were her pride and joy.
Glenda loved Charlie never leaving his side as they fought his cancer battle and shared 34 years together.
Glenda loved being a wife and mother and maw maw to her grandchildren spoiling them with cokes and wafers whenever they would visit. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion.
She was a loving pastor’s wife and caregiver and touched countless lives. She was fierce and not afraid to speak her mind, but her love was fierce for her family who will deeply miss her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Charles Stephen “Stevie” Burns of Anacoco, LA and Jason Burns (Mary) of Elmore, MN; grandchildren, Charlie, Anna, Isaiah, and Ezra Burns of Elmore, MN, Cody Williams of Bryan, TX, Megan Hillman (Randall) of Simpson, LA, Morgan Belsha (Tyler) of Hornbeck, LA, Allie Pridgen of Anacoco, LA and Kealey Pridgen of Anacoco, LA; great grandchildren, Harper and Hagen Hillman, Stetson Belsha, Gracelynn Brack and Addie Pridgen; brother, Coydell Jackson (Jeanette) of Anacoco, LA; sister, Leadeth “Wee-Wee” Paddy of Leesville, LA, sister-in-law, Gail Jackson of Leesville, LA; nephews and nieces who were more like sons and daughters to her, Wesley Jackson (Sherry) of Anacoco, LA, Shannon Williams (Anthony) of Hornbeck, Shaunda Pridgen (Larry) of Anacoco, LA and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
