Gladys Spence Rispone
Funeral services for Gladys Spence Rispone, 72, will be at 10 A.M., Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Diamond Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA, with Rev. Dale Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be at Labby Memorial Funeral home from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2009, and from 9 A.M. until time of the service, Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Diamond Baptist Church.
Gladys was called home, Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was born in Walters, OK, and lived in Rosepine, LA before moving to Baton Rouge, LA, where she spent many years as a beautician. She also worked at Kristy Kreme Doughnuts. She is a member of Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony “Tony” Rispone.
She is survived by sons Dennis Rispone of Central, LA, Joseph Rispone of Central, LA, Bobby Rispone of Owensville, IN, and Anthony Rispone of Baton Rouge; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brother, Archie Spence of DeRidder; sisters Betty Jo Anderson of DeRidder, LA, and Billie Middough of Kingsport, TN.
