Gladys Marie Legg Monk's Obituary
Gladys Marie Legg Monk passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was born on February 20, 1944 in Leesville, Louisiana to her parents Lincoln Theodore and Pearlie Haymond Legg.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lincoln and Pearlie Legg; husband, Leonard Monk; brothers, Donald Legg, Ted Legg, Eddie Legg “C.E.”, Hardy Legg, Vernon Legg “Boots” and Robert Legg, Sr.; sisters, Blanche Haymond, Ella Pearl Nolan and Sible Legg.
She is survived by her sons, Rickie Edward Monk and wife Deborah of Hicks, LA and Leonard Paul Monk of Hicks, LA; daughter, Pamela Monk of Hemphill, TX; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Laurel Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Dustin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 27th from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
