Gilbert "Big T" Gunter's Obituary
Funeral services for Gilbert E. “Big T” Gunter, 53, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with the Rev. J. R. Dowden officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Pickering, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 10 pm, Sunday, December 12th and then 8 am until service time in the funeral home, Monday Dec 13th.
Gilbert, the son of David and Susie Rowzee Gunter was born on May 19, 1957, in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away on Friday, December 10th at his residence in Leesville, LA.
Gilbert worked in the sawmill industry and loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. “Jibby” a lifelong “Swap Shopper” is going to be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Justin Jones.
He is survived by his daughters, Nisey & Mike Burge and Kasha & Hank Jones all of DeRidder; Brother, Randy and Joyce Gunter; nephew, Randall Gunter all Leesville and grandchildren, Ashley Jones, James “Boo” Burge, Jody Jones, Lexie Jones and Lori Burge
