Geraldine Crosby's Obituary
Funeral services Mrs. Geraldine Crosby will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Diamond Baptist Church (151 Diamond Church Rd, DeRidder, LA), with Rev’s Morris Goins and Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th from 5:00-10:00 p.m. in the church.
Geraldine was born on September 8, 1928 in Fullerton, LA to her parents, John Gossett and Ada Antis McKee Haymon. She entered into Heaven on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Crosby was a loving and loyal pastor’s wife for over 45 years. She served many years beside her husband in churches, many of which were in Vernon Baptist Association. She served as a leader in the Women’s Missionary Union for over 60 years. She was elected Director of the Vernon Baptist Association WMU in 1996 and held that position for 18 years. She was a dedicated and faithful follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Gossett and Ada McKee Haymon; Her Husband: Rev. T.J. Crosby; Her son and daughter-in-law: Clayton & Mary Crosby; Her two sons-in-law: Kenneth Baggs and Dale Miller; One Brother: Walter Lee Haymon; Her Sister: Bobbie Beers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Sandra Baggs of Hornbeck, Sonja Miller of Tennessee, and Craig (Cindy) Crosby of Leesville; Brother: Gossett Haymon, Jr. of Ohio; Sister: Bonnie Cain of Ohio; 13 Grandchildren: Kenny Baggs, Jr., Kimdale Baggs, Zondra Bayne, Deana Jarrell, Kelvin Baggs, Lacey Kay, Ashley Richmond, Brittany Harvey, Tim Crosby, Jason Crosby, Tommy Crosby, Terry Miller, Davin Miller; And a Host of Great Grandchildren.
