Georgette Broussard Vercher, 63, passed from this life on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Georgette was born on January 12, 1957 to Isaac Broussard, Sr. and Georgia Nell Vice Broussard in New Iberia, LA.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder, LA with a rosary to begin at 6:00PM. Visitation will conclude at 9:00PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 12:00PM at the church. Burial will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA. Funeral services under the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Georgette was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder. She worked as a caregiver for numerous years. She was loving and caring to anyone she ever met, and knew no strangers. She enjoyed visiting with all her family and loving on her grandbabies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 25 years, Reginald D. Vercher of DeRidder, LA; children, Brandon Broussard and wife Abby, Ernest Vercher and Johnny Vercher all of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Kenneth Broussard and wife Juanita of Houston, TX, Isaac “Butch” Broussard, Jr. and wife Diane of Lafayette, LA, Norbert Broussard Mittie, LA and John Broussard of DeRidder, LA; sister, Beverly Broussard Walet and husband Sonny of New Iberia, LA; grandchildren, Brax and Avery Broussard; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Georgette was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Kay Broussard Harwell.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ernest Vercher, Josh Broussard, Lee Broussard, Logan Felty, Judah Broussard and Kobey Broussard.
