George Clark Woolman's Obituary
Funeral services for George Clark Woolman, 91, of DeRidder, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. David Free officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home DeRidder.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 A.M until time of service at the church.
George was born on May 24, 1932 in Lake Charles, LA to his parents, Warren and Gladys Woolman. He passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 in DeRidder, LA.
Mr. Woolman was a Veteran of the United States Airforce and worked as an administrator for the Juvenile Detention Center in Calcasieu Parish for 30+ years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Knights of Templar and Magnolia Baptist Church. He was a jack of all trades and master of many. He loved all antiques.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Warren & Gladys Woolman; wife: Barbara Woolman.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Letitia Canty & husband Mike of DeRidder; grandchildren: George Riggs of DeRidder, Steven Veron of Lumberton, TX: great-grandchildren: Trevor Veron, Alex Veron, Kinley Riggs.
