Funeral services for George D. Walton, 37, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. – until time of service, Saturday, October 27th, at the funeral home.
George David Walton was born March 8, 1975, to the late Nathaniel Ford and Helen Walton.
George left this world so tragic with no warning signs at such a young age. George was baptized at the age of 10 at Little Zion Missionary Church in Houston, Texas. In 1985 the family moved from Houston to Leesville where George began a new life cutting hair in the local community. George inspired many people over the years. He began working at the age of 16 doing what young men do cutting grass and cutting hair. He started working offshore at the age of 17. His last company was Noble Drilling he worked this type of field for over 20 years. He was united with Rachal Walton for 5 years. To their union they had 2 kids David and Shaniah Walton of Leesville, LA. He leaves to morn him, kids and siblings; Quintray Castille, one step-son, Jalen Leday and Marissa Walton all of Leesville, LA and Shanice Hopkins of Dallas, Texas; Siblings, Annie Simmons of Houston, Texas, Nathaniel Walton and Mary Robinson of Leesville, LA, James Walton of Pollack, LA, Laura Stewart of Tolleson, AZ, Christine (Edward) McGowan of DeRidder, and Brenda Simpson of Clinton, MD. He also leaves to morn him a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. George is preceded death by his father and mother Nathaniel Ford and Helen Veazie.
