George Luis Ochoa
Funeral services for George Luis Ochoa, 66, of Leesville, will be held at 1:00p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 in the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Leesville with Rev. Josh Palmer and Rev. Bill Russel officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20th, from 4:30p.m. until 7:30p.m. and Monday, October 21st from 10:00a.m. until service time in the Church.
George was born on April 8, 1953 in Mission, TX to his parents, Anastacio and Josefina Cardenas Ochoa. He passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.
He enjoyed watching LSU football and Nascar but above all, he loved being with his family and working in his church. George was a deacon, the oldest member of his church, drove the church bus for many years and helped to lay the foundation for the new church to be built.
George is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lynn Ochoa of Leesville; Sons: Jeff Ochoa of Detroit, MI, Chris Ochoa of Lake Charles, LA, Shawn Durr and wife, Felicia of Leesville; Daughter: Samantha and husband, Colby Shuler of Anacoco, LA.; Sisters: Sarah Ann Garza of Penitas, TX, Cristina Layton of Edinburg, TX; Grandchildren: Dylan Ochoa, Ariel Ochoa, Aaron Durr, Seth Durr, McKayla Shuler, Landon Shuler, Ryan Bardwell, Jonathan Bardwell, Devan Bardwell.
