George Elonzo Kelly's Obituary
Funeral services for George Elonzo Kelly will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Reverends Huey Haymon and Michael Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home. The family and friends of Mr. Kelly will gather for a visitation on Thursday, February 6 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service on February 7.
Mr. Kelly was born on November 6, 1938, in Toro, LA and passed away on February 4, 2020 in Anacoco, LA at the age of 81. He graduated from Pisgah High School then lived in Shreveport, LA for many years before making Anacoco his home of more than fifty years. Through the years, Mr. Kelly made a living welding, hauling logs, and running a service station; however, he was at his happiest outdoors, where he enjoyed farming, all types of hunting, and riding horses or motorcycles every chance he got.
Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his wife, Merllean Kelly; parents, Deconda and Elvira Kelly; and brother, Dale Kelly.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna Kelly of Silver Spring, Maryland; brother, Marshall Kelly, Shreveport, LA; sister, Nancy McKee-Allen of Slagle, LA, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Allen Chadwick, Michael Chance, DeWayne Kelly, Webster Wilson, Danny Strickland, and Tinker Hillman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eloy Zayas, Kenneth Kelly, Ronald Holman, Donald Holman, and Keith Kelly.
