Dr. George O. Culli, III's Obituary
Dr. George O. Culli, III, 81, of Leesville, Louisiana passed away peacefully at his home on November 22, 2013, of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 29th, at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Living Fellowship Church in Leesville. Pastor John D. Hatcher and Pastor Bobby Ganaway will be officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. before the service. He will be laid to rest at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on University Parkway in Leesville, Louisiana. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
George was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 21, 1931. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended Texas College of Arts and Industries in Kingsville, Texas and A & M University in College Station, Texas. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
George was married to Dianne Epting Corley on August 31, 1978 and they were happily married for thirty-five years.
George proudly served his country in the Korean War acting as a Radarman on the USS Bradford from 1951 to 1953. As a doctor of Chiropractic, he helped many people through his Culli Chiropractic Practice which he owned and operated for forty-seven years. He was a member of the Christian Living Fellowship Church where he was affectionately known as “Papa Doc”. “Doc” was an avid motorcycle rider and an active member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association.
He is survived by his wife Dianne, a brother Doug (Jean) Culli of Beeville, Texas; two sons, George (Teresa) of Equador, Edward (Linda) of South Carolina and one daughter, Carolyn (Bill) Stacey of Brazil. He is also survived by two step-children, Jay Corley of South Carolina and Tami (Rick) Sarver of Leesville, Louisiana; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Preceding George in death were his parents George and Faye Culli and one son, Adam Culli.
