Probably my favorite memory of my grandfather was the day I introduced to him my future husband, James. James was with me when I stopped by for Grandparents Day three years ago. After the introduction, an easy conversation followed about guitars and music. I remember feeling happy to see the pleasure on my grandfather's face as he spoke of his love of music with my guitarist husband-to-be. How impressed I was when he told us that even though it was a little late in the game, he was learning to play the banjo. I considered that even on the brink of turning 90, his sense of humor and keen intellect were evident in his comedic yet insightful style of conversation. I'm thankful that we got a chance to know Grandpa - someone who was willing to have new experiences and embrace life until the end.

To the Boswell Family: You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Brother George was like a Grandfather to me. He baptized me and watched me grow into a young lady while attending New Llano First Baptist Church. \"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.\" 2 Timothy 4:9 is definately a testimony to his life. He will be greatly missed!

Footprints in the Sand\r\n\r\nOne night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.\r\n\r\nIn each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.\r\n\r\nThis bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,\r\n\r\n“You promised me Lord,\r\nthat if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”\r\n\r\nThe Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWe love this and we know Brother George loved it also so we felt a need to place this here so everyone else could read it.\r\n\r\nWe feel it was a honor to have know such a great man he meant so much to us. He was my brother in law Randy's father and was a great mentor to us all.

Bro. Boswell was a patient of mine for many years. I remember him coming to see Dr.Jones and always taking the time to visit with us. I will never forget how kind and what a sweet spirit he and Mrs. Boswell had. The Bible says that we walk in the mist of angels, and I know in my heart that Bro. Boswell was one of those angels. I feel very blessed to have know him, and I look forward to seeing him in heaven one day.\r\nPlease know how sorry I am for your family.
