Galusina "Joe" Felise Mageo's Obituary
Galusina (Joe) Felise Mageo joined his Father in Heaven on May 14, 2026. Joe, as referred to by family and friends, retired from the U.S. Army where he proudly served for 20 years. Joe was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class. During his service, 19 years were spent as a Medical Specialist with over 8 1/2 years as a Lab Specialist.
Upon completion of service to our country, Joe was discharged with recognitions and honors of: a Meritorious Service Medal (the equivalent of a Peacetime Bronze Star Medal), multiple Good Conduct medals, an Army Service ribbon, two Overseas Service ribbons (from two Germany Deployments), and three professional development ribbons.
Joe was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Lucille Mageo and son, Edward Mageo. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Coy-Scott, son, Andrew, stepson, Chancey Scott (wife Andromeda Freeman), step-grandchildren, Artemis Scott and Elijah High, granddaughter, Chasity Mageo, and great-grandchildren Kloie Mageo, Colton Trahan, and James
Hinson-Cormier. Joe's family brought joy to his life, and although they will miss him dearly, they are grateful for the legacy of love he left behind.
